  • The original mill was erected on the same site in 1864. After being demolished in 1955, a local heritage group initiated the reconstruction of a replica windmill in 1996. The current structure was inaugurated in May 1999 and designated a protected monument in 2007.

It stands on an artificial hill along Rue des Papillons/Vlindersstraat, approximately thirty metres from the site of the original mill. The current structure features a traditional Belgian windmill design with a wooden frame and vanes.
